My computer is plugged, not directly into the wall, but in a big electrical socket devider.

Not enough Wattage from PSU (I find this unlikely) Bad RAM for mobo (seems to be a trend for ryzen atm, but hey, amd should age like fine wine) Software just plain old sucks (not finding a lot of similar experiences unfortunatly so that might not be the case) It gave me some BSODs, all pretty random, no constant trends.ĭownclocking CPU: only seems to slow things down, no stability improvements. Upping RAM voltage to higher levels: Seems to add some stability for 1 frame renders, but for longer sessions it's no good. Serted: seems to add some stability, but still, crashes galore. I can't push the samples up as much as I like, without it crashing constantly. This has all been very veeeery annoying, as you can imagine. I can run AIDA64 stress tests just fine, which I find very strange, My temps stay around the 70 degrees Celsius mark during sustained high load. I haven't had issues during games though, which I think is very odd. The scenes I render contain a lot of textures, all at 4k resolution.

I've had a couple of system crashes mixed in with that too, where it would just keep showing a black screen. The screen first goes black, then the program crashes. I made sure to get the latest software to ensure nothing could go wrong on that end,Įverytime I render something heavy that takes the computer more than about 3 minutes of work, I currently render with Arnold (mtoa v2.001) on Maya 2017 (update 3) What I don't like is crashes during those render periods, forcing me to watch closely and restart the process as soon as the software crashes.

Thing is, I do 3d animation, and I like to render things. RAM: G.Skill trident z 3200Mhz (2 sticks totalling 32 Gb) Mhz, 1,5 VĬPU: Ryzen 1800x Aorus GTX 1080ti Extreme edition Mobo: Asus Prime x370 pro (on the 5 - 15 bios - supposedly the most stable one yet) I got a new system build, been very happy with it,

Hey y'all, I was wondering if you could hear me out. I posted this in another topic but got no answer.
